Kathy has progressed from being a franchisee of a national driving school to running her own multi car school and encourages her instructors to undergo regular CPD, in the way of free weekly classroom sessions, which cover a variety of topics from fault identification to multicultural communication, and everything in between.
She is always on the lookout for people who want to train as a driving instructor or upskilling by attending our workshops.
She is a published author; her book is called ‘An Insight to Drive’. She has been working on the Police Diversionary schemes since 2005 and is now a training quality monitor across all the police diversionary courses covering the UK
Along with this she runs a small business outside of the driver training industry, which is forming part of her retirement plan. She is a firm believer that having only one income stream is a dangerous place to be, so enjoyed the variety of work she does.
She is a trustee of the Upholland U3A (assistant secretary), she is also the secretary of the Institute of Master Tutors of Driving (IMTD).
She has a good sense of humour and enjoys working with people. When she is not working, she enjoys church bellringing, walking the dogs, embroidery/crochet, singing for fun, baking, and very amateur dramatics.
