Today, she is helping women across the UK improve their health, regain their confidence and realise that feeling better doesn’t have to mean extreme diets, impossible routines or giving up everything they enjoy.
But her journey to becoming the founder of Ultimate Health by Ellie was anything but straightforward.
Growing up, Ellie describes herself as lacking confidence. She never felt like one of the popular girls and often found herself on the outside looking in. When she headed off to university to study Zoology, she discovered something that appeared to solve the problem … alcohol.
What started as confidence in a bottle slowly became something much darker. Alongside unhealthy eating habits and life’s challenges, Ellie found herself struggling with both her physical and mental wellbeing. More than once, she hit rock bottom.
Like many people, she was offered medication and therapy, but instinctively felt there had to be another way forward.
That turning point came when she attended a free life coaching session.
It completely changed her outlook. Rather than searching for a quick fix, Ellie began focusing on small, consistent changes that she could control.
As her health improved, she noticed many other women were trapped in the same cycle she had experienced herself – endless diets, low confidence, low energy and the feeling of constantly starting again on Monday.
Before launching her business, Ellie spent around 15 years as a primary school teacher. Originally planning a career as a vet, she completed extensive work experience, even spending time as a parrot and penguin keeper at Chester Zoo, before life took her in a different direction.
Whilst teaching, she trained as both a Life Coach and Nutrition Coach, often studying alongside a demanding workload. Eventually, a move from Newcastle to the North West provided the perfect opportunity to fully step into her new career.
Today, through Ultimate Health by Ellie, she works predominantly with women in their 40s and 50s, helping them improve their health in a realistic and sustainable way.
What makes Ellie different is her belief that women already have enough information.

Rather than focusing on restriction, calorie counting or cutting out favourite foods, she helps women understand what they can add into their lives.
Whether that’s more protein, better nutrition, improved movement, strength training or simple mindset shifts, the focus is always on building long-term health rather than chasing quick fixes.
For Ellie, the goal isn’t simply weight loss.
It’s about energy. Confidence. Mental wellbeing. Longevity.
She is passionate about helping women understand that menopause, age and hormones do not have to define what is possible.
One of the core ways she delivers that support is through The Collective, her coaching community where women receive weekly support, practical guidance, nutrition education and accountability.
The sense of community is just as important as the coaching itself. Members celebrate each other’s successes, support one another through challenges and realise they are not alone.
Alongside The Collective, Ellie also offers one-to-one coaching and hosts free monthly wellness webinars designed to provide practical, actionable advice women can implement immediately.
Looking back, Ellie believes her own struggles have become her greatest strength.
By sharing her story, she hopes other women realise that feeling stuck does not have to be permanent.
Her message is simple: there is always one small step you can take.
No extremes. No perfection. No all-or-nothing thinking.
Just small, achievable changes that build into lasting transformation.
Now in her forties, Ellie describes herself as the strongest she has ever been, both physically and mentally. Through Ultimate Health by Ellie, she is helping other women discover that their best years may still be ahead of them.
